Former Google exec and current SoftBank President Nikesh Arora’s knowledge on business is unmatched. He is responsible behind investments in many Indian startups like OYO Rooms, Snapdeal, Ola Cabs and even Housing.com. So when he dishes out advice to start-up enthusiasts, it is considered as pure gold. Arora took to Twitter yesterday giving out valuable advice to entrepreneurs looking to start a business in India.
The tech exec gave out hints on which sectors are still untapped and can be explored. He was answering most questions – relevant and irrelevant - ones keeping the interaction very informal. His mantra seems to be about following ones gut, and making decisions based on individual desires. He stressed that efficient execution of an idea is equally important, other than coming up with the idea.
He encouraged smart risks, and rooted for ethical profitability. He also adviced startups to build the buzz first through word of mouth and online marketing, and look at mass marketing after the idea is sufficiently welcomed.
